Hi everyone,
The annual Scottish National Scale Model Show in Perth was held at the end of April. It was a brilliant event with plenty to see and also plenty to buy! The competition was well subscribed with lots of fantastic entries which were great to actually see in the flesh. To my surprise, I was lucky enough to receive a "highly commended" award for my Saab Viggen and a "commended" award in the helicopter section for my Mil Mi-24 Hind. Awards aren't what I do this hobby for but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't over the moon :). My thanks to all the show organisers and volunteers for running such a successful event.
My recent projects have included a North Vietnamese MiG-17 "Fresco", a French Mirage F1.B and an Afghan Sukhoi Su-22 "Fitter". I'm also finishing off a Turkish scrapyard F-100 Super Sabre. The Lancaster has been pushed down the list and will probably get done later in the year when the nights draw in... Summer is coming after all! Next up will probably be a Fishbed or a Gripen.
